How do we re-moralise our society?

A pressing question, in these days of thieving politicians, bankers and CEOs, and re-energised by new surveys which show that as a society, we're all less honest than were were. A thoughtful Grauniad article puts this in the context of half a century of dissolution of old ties, off family bonds, neighbourhood, etc., set against globalisation, hypermobility, the internet (oh the irony of writing this) and turboconsumerism.

As ever with The Graun, among the sensible, thoughtful comments following, there's the odd rotten apple, but even I'm surprised and impressed at how the first comment completely misses the point:

Amazing what 13 years of Nulabour will produce isn't it!
Amazing what not reading the article will produce, Readingboy, to whit: a farrago of shite.

What a Class A Cunt (which isn't surprising, the inbred fucktard is from Reading after all).
